Nesse post, vamos descobrir a aplica\u00e7\u00e3o de um dos temas da \u00e1lgebra no nosso dia-a-dia, come\u00e7ando com uma simples mat\u00e9ria de ensino m\u00e9dio: fun\u00e7\u00e3o quadr\u00e1tica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tamb\u00e9m chamada de fun\u00e7\u00e3o polinomial do 2\u00b0 grau, a fun\u00e7\u00e3o quadr\u00e1tica representa algo muito presente a nossa volta. N\u00e3o vamos nos ater a como resolver, j\u00e1 que para isso h\u00e1 diversos tutoriais pela internet. Vamos apenas relembrar algumas coisas e ver atrav\u00e9s dos n\u00fameros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">O que \u00e9 fun\u00e7\u00e3o quadr\u00e1tica<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>De forma resumida, fun\u00e7\u00e3o quadr\u00e1tica \u00e9 uma fun\u00e7\u00e3o de 2\u00b0 grau que representa par\u00e1bolas. Seus primeiros registros encontrados no antigo (bem antigo) Egito, indicam que inicialmente foram criadas para c\u00e1lculo de divis\u00e3o de terras (que nem sempre eram quadrados retinhos) de heran\u00e7a. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S\u00e3o de <strong>2\u00b0 grau<\/strong> porque s\u00e3o c\u00e1lculos voltados para coisas de duas dimens\u00f5es (como \u00e1reas de um terreno) e por sua vez, a pot\u00eancia m\u00e1xima para x \u00e9 2 (de <strong>x\u00b2<\/strong>) o que resultar\u00e1 em <strong>dois resultados para X<\/strong>. Assim, x n\u00e3o pode ser elevado a 3 (x\u00b3), porque a\u00ed seria uma fun\u00e7\u00e3o c\u00fabica e a\u00ed \u00e9 outro assunto. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Uma equa\u00e7\u00e3o de segundo grau possui o seguinte formato:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\">f(x) = ax\u00b2+ bx + c<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><figcaption>Onde <strong>a, b, c<\/strong> s\u00e3o n\u00fameros reais e o <strong>a<\/strong> n\u00e3o pode ser igual a zero.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A fun\u00e7\u00e3o<strong> f(x) = <em>3x\u00b2 + 2x &#8211; 5<\/em><\/strong> \u00e9 um exemplo de fun\u00e7\u00e3o quadr\u00e1tica, assim como<strong> f(x) = &#8211;<em>x\u00b2 + x &#8211; <\/em>1<\/strong>. Para resolver esse tipo de fun\u00e7\u00e3o (e com &#8220;resolver&#8221; quero dizer &#8220;encontrar os valores de x&#8221;), \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio encontrar os tr\u00eas valores, <strong>a<\/strong>, <strong>b<\/strong> e <strong>c<\/strong>. N\u00e3o vamos detalhar aqui o passo a passo da resolu\u00e7\u00e3o desse c\u00e1lculo, mas no final do artigo tem uma surpresa para facilitar sua vida :).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fun\u00e7\u00e3o quadr\u00e1tica e par\u00e1bolas<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Como foi dito, toda fun\u00e7\u00e3o quadr\u00e1tica representa uma <strong>par\u00e1bola<\/strong>. Mas onde est\u00e3o essas par\u00e1bolas no mundo real? Na minha opini\u00e3o, \u00e9 muito bonito olhar para essas formas e lembrar que ali existe matem\u00e1tica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qual a utilidade das par\u00e1bolas?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Ok, Sawa. Entendi o que uma fun\u00e7\u00e3o quadr\u00e1tica representa e entendi sobre par\u00e1bolas, mas qual a utilidade delas? \u00c9 s\u00f3 uma curva!&#8221; &#8211; talvez voc\u00ea me questione.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As par\u00e1bolas s\u00e3o relevantes para \u00e1reas da engenharia e da f\u00edsica. Qual sua utilidade? Imagine que a curva da par\u00e1bola possui um pico, que chamamos de <strong>v\u00e9rtice<\/strong>, que \u00e9 o ponto mais alto (ou o mais baixo) da curva. \u00c9 o \u00e1pice da par\u00e1bola. A exist\u00eancia desse v\u00e9rtice \u00e9 a chave para entendermos a funcionalidade de uma par\u00e1bola. Guarde esse detalhe e observe os exemplos a seguir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Antena parab\u00f3lica<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Uma antena <strong>parab\u00f3lica<\/strong> reflete todo o sinal vindo do espa\u00e7o, que vem em diversas dire\u00e7\u00f5es. Mas gra\u00e7as ao formato parab\u00f3lico, todo o sinal acaba se concentrando no <strong>centro<\/strong> (ou no <strong>v\u00e9rtice<\/strong>) da antena. A lente de aumento possui um formato c\u00f4ncavo, uma par\u00e1bola muito mais sutil que uma antena parab\u00f3lica, mas n\u00e3o deixa de ser uma. Por que uma lupa \u00e9 capaz de atear fogo? Porque, como par\u00e1bola, ela possui um <strong>v\u00e9rtice<\/strong>, um ponto focal, que concentra todo o calor do sol que chegou na lente. Se voc\u00ea prestou aten\u00e7\u00e3o at\u00e9 aqui, percebeu que a <strong>par\u00e1bola consegue unir tudo o que chegou nela para um ponto focal<\/strong>, como se fosse um funil. O farol de carro consegue projetar a luz para frente gra\u00e7as ao espelhamento dentro da par\u00e1bola onde a l\u00e2mpada se encontra:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"349\" height=\"144\" src=\"https:\/\/sawastudio.me\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/images.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-98\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sawastudio.me\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/images.png 349w, https:\/\/sawastudio.me\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/images-300x124.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 349px) 100vw, 349px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>E n\u00e3o para por aqui, h\u00e1 radares, trajeto de m\u00edsseis bal\u00edsticos, sat\u00e9lites e mais um monte de projetos que aproveitam dessa utilidade das par\u00e1bolas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Al\u00e9m das curvas<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Al\u00e9m de calcular \u00e1reas e coisas em formato c\u00f4ncavo, a fun\u00e7\u00e3o quadr\u00e1tica tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 utilizada para c\u00e1lculos de lucro empresarial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Em matem\u00e1tica financeira, o c\u00e1lculo permite aferir pre\u00e7os e lucros (ou preju\u00edzos) de mercadorias. Geralmente \u00e9 usado para encontrar o lucro m\u00e1ximo que um produto pode dar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignfull\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Um algoritmo para finalizar<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Talvez voc\u00ea n\u00e3o tenha interesse em resolver uma fun\u00e7\u00e3o quadr\u00e1tica da forma tradicional, j\u00e1 que fez isso bastante no ensino m\u00e9dio.
